Japan Pokémon TCG College Festival Trial Event Schedule Updated: Okayama University of Science Added, 46 Locations Left Through December

On October 23, the official Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game website (pokemon-card.com) updated event information for its touring college festival trial event, "Pokémon Card Game School Festival 2026" (ポケモンカードゲーム学園祭2026). Okayama University of Science was newly added to the table, and previously blank classroom locations for individual universities were mostly filled in. From Tsuru University on October 29 through Ritsumeikan University on December 13, 46 schools and campuses remain on the schedule.

What Changed

The official page did not separately list what was altered in this update. A comparison was conducted between the version of the page archived by the Internet Archive on September 29 and the current page.

| Item | September 29 Archive | After October 23 Update | |---|---|---| | Okayama University of Science (Okayama Campus) '62nd Handayama Festival' | None | 11/21 (Sat) · 11/22 (Sun) 10:00–18:00, Building A1 Basement 1F Student Waiting Room | | Shizuoka University (Hamamatsu) '27th Shizudaisai in Hamamatsu' | 11/7 · 11/8 9:30–17:30 | 11/7 (Sat) one day only, 9:30–17:30 | | Hiroshima University (Higashi-Hiroshima) University Festival | 11/7 · 11/8 10:00–21:00 | 11/7 · 11/8 10:00–18:00 | | Classroom venues for each university | Mostly unlisted | Mostly listed, such as Waseda Univ. Building 16 Room 405, Univ. of Tokyo Komaba Building 7 Room 761, etc. |

Following the update, the table lists 35 locations for October, 24 for November, and 1 for December. The 10 locations already concluded between May and September (such as Univ. of Tokyo's May Festival, Hokkaido Univ.'s Hokudaisai, and Univ. of the Ryukyus' Ryudaisai) were organized into a separate table. For Kogakuin University's "77th Shinjuku Festival" (11/20–22) held at its Shinjuku Campus, the prefecture column lists "Kyoto," which appears to be an official clerical error.

Remaining Major Schedule and How to Participate

| Date | University (Campus) | Location | |---|---|---| | 10/31–11/1 | University of Tsukuba 'Sohosai' | 5C317 | | 10/31–11/3 | Chuo University (Tama) 'Hakumonsai' | Unlisted | | 11/1–11/4 | Kansai University (Senriyama) Unified School Festival | Second Gakusha Room D301 | | 11/7–11/8 | Waseda University 'Wasedasai 2026' | Building 16 Room 405 | | 11/21–11/23 | The University of Tokyo (Komaba) 'Komaba Festival' | Building 7 Room 761 | | 11/28–11/30 | Saitama University '77th Mutsumesaj' | Unlisted | | 12/13 | Ritsumeikan University (Biwako-Kusatsu) School Festival | Unlisted |

There are two activities. The "Pokémon Card Game Trial" is designed for beginners; university student staff teach the rules, and practice decks are provided. The "Free Battle" allows those who know the rules to battle freely. Participants may bring their own decks or borrow one of three types of "Starter Set ex" (Eevee ex, Zorua & Zoroark ex, Sprigatito & Meowscarada ex). Both events are open to anyone with no prior preparation required.

Participants receive one sticker upon joining. Even if taking part in both the trial and free battle, the limit is one per person. Supplies are limited and distribution ends when stock runs out; participants who leave early are generally ineligible to receive one. The official website noted that sunvisors and stickers will not be distributed at some universities and that event details are subject to change.

In Korea

School Festival 2026 is held exclusively at Japanese university festivals. As of October announcements on the Korean official website (pokemoncard.co.kr), no events of the same format linked with university festivals could be found. Those looking for official free trial events in Korea can check the "Pokémon School" (포켓몬스쿨) page operated by Pokémon Korea (포켓몬코리아). For those planning to visit Japan to match the School Festival schedule, official pages and respective college festival announcements should be checked again prior to departure, as the official site has noted the possibility of schedule changes.
