Play! Pokémon Store October League Prizes Update with New 80-Card 'Battle Box'

Prizes for the ongoing 'Pokémon League' program at overseas Play! Pokémon stores will change starting in October. In an announcement on September 29, The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) stated that new league kits are being sent to each store. The kits include sticker sheets, activity tracking posters, avatar stickers, acrylic stands, and a 'Battle Box' with a new card pool.

Acrylic Stands for Maximum Monthly Activity Points

The acrylic stands feature three Pokémon: Mega Charizard X, Mega Gengar, and Mega Kangaskhan. They can be earned at the respective store by collecting the maximum monthly league activity points. Points are recorded on the new activity tracking posters, and players choose avatar stickers to display their progress.

40-Card Draft 'Battle Box'

The Battle Box is designed for two players to draft a 40-card deck using only the cards inside the box and compete. Energy is provided separately and is not part of the draft. This Battle Box contains 80 cards, with a card range from Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together to Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames. Each card appears only once, so the deck composition changes with every match. Cards must be returned to the box after play so other players can use them.

| Category | Details | |---|---| | Effective Date | Starting October 2026 | | Acrylic Stands | Mega Charizard X, Mega Gengar, Mega Kangaskhan | | Acquisition Condition | Maximum monthly league activity points | | Battle Box | 80 cards, 40-card deck draft, energy provided separately |

Month-Long 'Pokéween' in October

In a September 17 announcement, TPCi stated that Play! Pokémon stores will host the Halloween event 'Pokéween' from October 1 to 31. Featuring casual play, trade meetups, and tournaments, participants can receive Pokéween promo cards and sticker sheets. The promo cards are Zubat, Golbat, and Crobat from Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising. Event schedules are determined individually by each store, so players should check with their local venue.

Domestic Application Status

Both announcements pertain to TPCi's Play! Pokémon store program, and whether they will apply domestically has not been confirmed in Pokémon Korea announcements. Domestically, Pokémon Korea has separately announced 'Mini Leagues' and expansion release commemoration tournaments at its directly managed 'Pokémon Card Shop'. Official domestic events are available for reservation on the Pokémon Korea official reservation site under categories such as 'Beginner's Class', 'Card Shop', 'Korean League', 'Pokémon School', and 'Battle Tournament'.
