English 'Deck Crafter's Collection' Released Today… Meowth ex and 39 Tournament Trainers
Includes 1 booster pack, 9 dividers, and a guide; official price unannounced, no Korean edition release plans confirmed
The new English Pokémon Trading Card Game product, Deck Crafter's Collection, was released on October 23. It is listed as a release for this day in the "October Pokémon TCG Product Releases" guide published by the official Pokémon website on October 1. It is a product that bundles together Trainer cards frequently used in competitive decks.
1 Meowth ex and 39 Trainers
According to official guides, the product includes 1 foil Meowth ex card, 39 "tournament-ready" Trainer cards, a Deck Crafter's Guide, 9 card-organizing label dividers, and 1 Pokémon TCG booster pack. North American distribution trade magazine ICv2 reported that 1 Pokémon TCG Live code card is also included.
| Contents | Quantity | Verification Source | |---|---|---| | Meowth ex foil card | 1 | Official Pokémon | | Trainer cards | 39 | Official Pokémon | | Deck Crafter's Guide | 1 | Official Pokémon | | Label dividers | 9 | Official Pokémon | | Booster pack | 1 | Official Pokémon | | TCG Live code card | 1 | ICv2 |
Introducing these 40 cards as foundational cards for tournament decks, ICv2 reported that Supporter, Item, and Pokémon Tool cards used in championship series are included. The full list of 39 cards was not revealed in the official announcement. Gaming media outlet Wargamer reported based on released images that 'Boss's Orders', 'Dawn', and 'Special Red Card' are included, and evaluated that the cards all feature standard illustrations, making the product more for play than collection. The same outlet introduced Meowth ex as a card that originally debuted in the 'Perfect Order' expansion.
Pokémon news site PokeGuardian viewed this product as a scaled-down version of the previously released 'Trainer's Toolkit'.
Official Price Unannounced
No price is listed in the official Pokémon October product guide. Wargamer also stated in an article updated on October 3 that the official manufacturer's suggested retail price has not been released. Prices displayed by retailers vary, so they have not been included in this article.
According to the same official guide, the English edition will follow up on October 30 with the release of '30th Celebration Battle Deck—Espeon ex & Umbreon ex'. These are two 60-card all-foil decks.
No Confirmed Plans for a Korean Edition
As of October 23, a Korean-language edition with the same contents has not been confirmed through an official announcement. It remains unknown whether the English product will be released in Korean, and if so, when.
