Yu-Gi-Oh! Day in Japan Set for Nov 21–23… Participation Requires 1,000 Yen Purchase of New Product

Konami of Japan posted details for the November 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Day' on the official Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG website on Nov 2. The event will run for three days from November 21 to 23 at Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game Official Tournament Stores throughout Japan. The schedule coincides with the Japanese release of the concept pack 'REVOLUTION BOOSTER - Cubic · Marincess · Ghostrick -' on November 21.

Participation Requires 1,000 Yen Purchase of New Product

According to the official announcement, to participate, players must purchase at least 1,000 yen (tax included) worth of the eligible product, 'REVOLUTION BOOSTER - Cubic · Marincess · Ghostrick -', on the day of the event. If the eligible product is out of stock, players may instead purchase 1,000 yen or more of any Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG product.

Reservations and deck registration are not mandatory. Reservations can be made via the official app 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron', up to once per person at a time; after participating in the reserved event, players may reserve another. If applicants exceed capacity, a lottery will be held, but pre-reserved players are guaranteed entry. The capacity is 8 to 16 players per store. Players without the Neuron app and minors are also eligible to participate. If a store holds the event more than once on the same day, players who participated in an earlier session may be denied entry to subsequent sessions.

3-Round Free Battles, Participation Prize Is 20 Sleeves

The battle format consists of free battles paired automatically via Neuron. Official guidelines note that this format differs from Swiss-draw or single-elimination tournaments. Players complete 3 matches of 1-round Duels, with a time limit of 25 minutes per match. If a match is not decided within the time limit, both players receive a loss. As this is not a tournament, no championship records are awarded.
