Nine types of the Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game 30th anniversary commemorative product '30th CELEBRATION Card Set' were released in Japan on October 16 (Friday). According to the Pokémon Trading Card Game 30th Anniversary Special Site and the Japanese official site product list, the suggested retail price is 1,200 yen (tax included) per type.

Three Starter Pokémon per Region

The card sets group together starter Pokémon from the 9 regions of the main series by region. The composition of the 9 types is as follows.

| Set | Featured Pokémon | |---|---| | 1 | Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle | | 2 | Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile | | 3 | Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip | | 4 | Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup | | 5 | Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott | | 6 | Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie | | 7 | Rowlet, Litten, Popplio | | 8 | Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble | | 9 | Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly |

Each set contains ▲ 3 holo promo cards of the corresponding 3 Pokémon, ▲ 2 "30th CELEBRATION" expansion packs, and ▲ 1 paper card stand capable of holding 3 cards. The "30th CELEBRATION" expansion pack is a 30th anniversary commemorative expansion pack released on September 16, containing 6 cards per pack for 360 yen (tax included). Simple math indicates that 720 yen of the card set price accounts for the 2 expansion packs.

Sales Method Not Listed on Product Page

The product page does not specify the sales method (lottery, first-come-first-served, etc.) or purchase limits per person. Other 30th anniversary products posted alongside on the 30th Anniversary Special Site include expansion packs, the 'Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon' (6,200 yen), and the Pokémon Center Online product 'FUTURISTIC BOX' (27,500 yen), all of which were released on September 16. The card sets are the latest 30th anniversary products among them.

Korean Edition Unannounced

As of October 13, the official Pokémon Trading Card Game Korea product list does not feature the 30th CELEBRATION Card Set. In Korea, the "30th CELEBRATION" expansion pack was released on September 16, the same day as in Japan, but the release and schedule for the Korean edition of this card set have not been officially announced.
