Konami's digital card game Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel applied a new forbidden and limited list starting October 6 at 13:00 (JST). An update on the same day added a new selection pack and secret packs. The following details are based on reports from the Yu-Gi-Oh! specialized community YGOrganization, which summarized in-game notices.
3 Forbidden, 2 Limited, and 2 Semi-Limited Cards
The list announced on September 24 applies to the following targets. The report lists only the status after the changes.
| Card | Status After Change | |---|---| | Dimension Shifter | Forbidden | | PSY-Framelord Omega | Forbidden | | Synchro Overtake | Forbidden | | Kewl Tune Cue | Limited | | Radiant Typhoon Vision | Limited | | Radiant Typhoon Eldam | Semi-Limited | | The Fallen & The Virtuous | Semi-Limited |
Bonuses providing extra points for dismantling cards whose restriction count has decreased are available until November 1 at 09:59 (JST). From September 24 to October 3, the mini-game 'Card Decoder' ran 4 times per day (previously 3 times) for a total of 9 puzzles.
New Selection Pack and Secret Packs
The selection pack "Arising of the Apocalypse" was added in the October 6 update. It features a total of 85 card types: 13 URs, 22 SRs, 25 Rs, and 25 Ns. It provides support for the Invoked and Charmer archetypes. Four new secret packs, including "Master of the Forbidden Spells," were also introduced. "Master of the Forbidden Spells" is available until December 4.
Sales periods have also been adjusted. The selection pack "Desire for Change," originally scheduled to end on October 6, was extended to November 24 at 12:59 (JST). "Kaiser on the Stage" was also extended from November 5 to November 24. Gem bundles, such as the 2,500-gem product guaranteeing 2 URs in 20 packs, are on sale until November 5.
2027 Season Opening Campaign
A login campaign commemorating the opening of the '2027 Season' began on September 21. Players who log in for 7 days until October 29 at 12:59 (JST) will receive 300 gems (100 gems 3 times), 2 Power-up Selection Pack tickets, 60 SR points, and the '2027 SEASON' icon. From September 21 to 28, the special rules match 'Double Draw,' where players draw 2 cards during the draw phase, took place.
Note for Korean Users
All notice times above are based on Japanese Standard Time (JST), which is the same as Korean Standard Time (KST). Domestic users do not need to account for a time difference when calculating pack sales and dismantling bonus deadlines. Please note that this is separate from the physical OCG forbidden and limited list and should not be confused.
