New Riftbound Set 'Radiance' to Release in English on October 23

Riot Games will release the new trading card game 「Riftbound」 set 「Radiance」 on October 23. According to the set overview posted on the official website on September 25 and updated on October 5, the release languages are English, French, and Chinese. The official website introduced Radiance as the fifth set of Riftbound.

Prices are based on the Riot Merch Store and exclude shipping fees. The set consists of 180 cards, including 66 showcase cards. Vault products and Pre-Rift kits will also be released. Merch Store inventory was sold via a lottery. Entries were accepted from September 25 to 30, and winners were drawn starting October 5. Winners must complete their purchase within 24 hours using the link received via email.

New Keywords and Highest Rarity

Nine new Legends will be added to the set, each featuring an over-number version. New mechanics include 'Deploy' for placing equipment on the battlefield, 'Show Off' for revealing conditional cards to gain additional effects, and 'Disarm' for reducing an attacking unit's power. 'Equipment units' that turn equipment into units and 'Bomb tokens' given to opponents have also been added.

Each booster pack contains 7 commons, 3 uncommons, 1 foil slot, 2 rares or higher, and 1 token/rune. The top-tier Ultimate Rare appears in approximately 0.025% of packs, with a maximum of 1 per pack. Riot stated that this Ultimate Rare is "the rarest yet."

What Changes for Korean Readers

This release is separate from the domestic Korean edition. Riot announced in a Korean notice on September 2, 2026, that the first Korean edition set 「Origin」 would launch on September 18, followed by the second set 「Spiritforged」 in December. In 2027, seven sets from Set 3 (Unleashed) to Set 9 will be released sequentially, with the 10th set aligning with the global schedule in early 2028. While Radiance (the 5th set) falls within this 2027 timeframe, its Korean release date has not yet been announced. Because domestic tournaments follow the Korean-edition Standard format, Radiance cards cannot be used in official domestic tournaments until the Korean edition is released.
